Arkansas Constitutional Amendment on November ballot

Just had to share this..............

I rear-ended the car in front of me. I admit that. It was my fault.
So, we both pull over to the side of the road, and slowly the driver of the car that I hit gets out of his car. . . and you know how you just get SO stressed...and life...sometimes life seems...suddenly funny? Well, the driver of the car I hit is a DWARF! He gets out of his car and I get out of my car. He is frowning and scowling and he storms over to me. Right up close to me he looks up in my face and says, 'I AM NOT HAPPY!'

And I don't know what possessed me, Officer, but I looked down at him and I said, 'Well, if you're not Happy -- which one are you?'

... and that's when the fight started...

Our Mother is a Quilter

My Mother is a Quilter
She sews warmth and love and art
With patience and skill
She makes a whole of many parts.

A bit of this, a piece of that
Are added one by one,
Stitched strongly and firmly
So they will not come undone.

Each piece is positioned
Each seam is true
Carefully fabric is added
‘Til a pattern comes to view.

Time and commitment
Are what it takes to reach the goal
Patience and imagination
Are what make the parts a whole.

A little softness for warmth
And always strong backing
Bound firmly and securely
So nothing is lacking.

And when the whole is complete
She lovingly shares
The miracles created
So unaware.

My Mother is an artist
Of the highest degree
She Quilted us all
And made us Family.

FHH Poem of the Month

There's a lady named Trixie McFarber,
who runs an eatery in da' Harbor.
Give her any grief, when you go there to eat
'and you'll end up being da' town martyr.

One day to embarass a customer,
in front of his wife, and others.
"A lap dance I'll do, a very nice one for you,
If five dollars you leave in my bras-ser!"

It just might have worked, went the fable.
But he didn't think her willing or able.
So he spoke up real quick, called da' bluff on her schtick
'said, "I'll tuck in 10 if you do da' dance on the table!"
